Do you want to save money? -then stay in pod hotels

Though the phrase ‘Pod hotels’ seems brand new but the concept behind it is actually not. Pod hotels have been around for quite a long; however most of us have never heard of them. Originally Japan is the first country where the idea of pod hotels was conceived like “capsule hotels”, which are still being used as a popular alternative for ‘hotels’ especially by businesspeople who badly need a place to stay overnight while traveling. However, pod hotels are now getting more popularity with holiday travelers and vacationers as well as they are more convenient and less expensive as compared to regular hotels. All the major countries like United States, Europe, Britain and Asia are now embracing this awesome concept and pod hotels can be found there usually located in or near the major airports due to travelers’ convenience.

As compared to Japan, U.S. and Europe don’t have a lot of pod hotels but now things are changing and people especially businesspeople and travelers are demanding the unique service of pod hotels more than ever before, and this business is growing by leaps and bounds. Industrialists and contractors are cashing in on this golden opportunity and creating a large no. Of pod like hotel rooms which are often rented by ‘not days’ but by the no of hours at a trickle of the rate of standard regular hotel rooms.

Though rooms of most pod hotels are compact but they are smartly and stylishly designed to make them as comfortable and convenient as possible. Today they have all the basic amenities of a modern hotel room. They are certainly a good choices for couples, budget-conscious people (like me!), travelers, businesspeople and vacationers.

As I mentioned earlier that most of pod hotels are situated in or near airports so there are some famous pod hotels like Yotel which is located in London’s Gatwick and Heathrow airports.
The popular EasyHotels have their chain in Zurich, London, Budapest, and Basal. Other European cities like Amsterdam and Antwerp have the pod hotels with the name QBIC Hotels. PickwickArms is the renowned pod hotel in New York City.

As things are moving pretty fast so pod hotels are also undergoing ultra-new concepts and changes and now somebody has come up with a brand new idea known as Metro-nap Sleep Pods. These space-age designed pods are being installed not only on airports lounges & lobbies, but in key areas in office buildings. Not only do they cater the need of business travelers and tourists simultaneously but they are a perfect choice for tired employers and visiting executives who just want to re-energize and have a short nap. Although such sleep pods are installed in the open and they have little privacy but still they are not claustrophobic. Extra effort is made to make them cozy and comfortable. Modern equipments such as noise canceling-headphones, head-showers, high speed internet, TVs are used to make the guests feel like at home. Their rental cost is often charged by the hour and are understandably within the reach of masses.
